Patrick James & Mary McKittrick Family
Patrick James McKittrick was the son of Peter and Rose Thornton born Jan. 4, 1849 County Monaghan, Ireland. He came to the United States with his family and 5 siblings to Iowa. He married Mary Woods in Masonville, Iowa and settled in Prairie Township. Mary was born in 1855 in Coggin, Iowa. Patrick and Mary moved to Garretson, SD when his parents and siblings moved on to Kansas from Iowa. Patrick and Mary both died in Sioux Falls; Patrick in 1885 and Mary in 1934. They are buried at St. Michael's Cemetery. Their two sons, Owen and Thomas, are shown in the photo. They had three more children; Rose, Mary and Patrick Jr. Thomas McKittrick is also buried at St. Michael's Cemetery.

Patrick was the son of Patrick & Mary Woods McKittrick. He was born Oct. 8, 1886 at Garretson, SD. He married Regina Johnson. Her family changed their last name to Gullickson. Patrick and Regina were married on the Gullickson farm. Regina died in 1914 and Patrick in 1964 at Santa Clara, CA.

Jochim was born Aug. 3, 1843 and died July 1, 1913.. Friedericka was born in Doemitz, Mechklenburg, Schwerin, Germany, Mar. 4, 1848 and died Jan. 14, 1911. (Friedericka was a sister to Sophie Jahnke Matthies) They arrived in Minnehaha Co. between 1885 and 1887.
