Sioux Valley Genealogical Society has several volunteering opportunities for its members:

Library assistant – this may involve answering questions for researchers, cataloging books or entering books into a database. Our head librarian will train and supervise you. This position is on site in our library at the Old Courthouse Museum. You may work one day a week or less or more, depending upon your time available and the needs of the librarian. 

Meeting planner – this person assists the Vice-President in helping find and plan our meetings. 

Obituary assistant – this person will assist in scanning or inputting obituaries in our database. This work is usually done in our workroom in the Old Courthouse Museum.  Some of this work might be available from your home.
